We are pleased to share highlights from the kick-off meeting of the Ageing-Autism Erasmus+ project, which took place on January 16–17, 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The meeting brought together representatives from the three project partners:
Federação Portuguesa de Autismo (FPDA) – Portugal
Fundación Miradas – Spain
Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) – Finland
During the two-day event, partners had the opportunity to align on the project’s main goals and plan the first steps of the upcoming activities. Discussions included the implementation timeline, coordination of tasks, and strategies for dissemination and engagement at both national and European levels.
As part of the meeting, the consortium visited APPDA-Lisboa, a local autism association, which provided valuable insights into the support structures and realities of autistic individuals and their families. We sincerely thank APPDA-Lisboa for their warm welcome and collaboration.
This kick-off marked a strong and enthusiastic start to a project focused on promoting better support and understanding of ageing in autistic individuals.
