Meet the partners behind our project

The Ageing-Autism project brings together a committed group of organisations working collaboratively to improve understanding, support, and resources for autistic people as they age. Here’s a closer look at the partners driving this important initiative:

Federação Portuguesa de Autismo (FPDA) – Portugal

FPDA is a national federation representing associations of families of autistic individuals across Portugal. With decades of experience in advocacy, awareness, and support, FPDA leads the Ageing-Autism project, contributing extensive knowledge on the needs of autistic people and their caregivers throughout the lifespan.

Fundación Miradas – Spain

Based in Burgos, Fundación Miradas focuses on the rights, inclusion, and well-being of autistic individuals and their families. They are actively involved in several European projects related to autism and ageing, bringing valuable expertise in good practices and community-based care.

Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) – Finland

HAMK is a multidisciplinary higher education institution with strong experience in applied research and international collaboration. In this project, HAMK contributes its academic and technical expertise to help structure the educational and training components aimed at professionals working with ageing autistic populations.

Together, these partners are working to develop tools, share knowledge, and promote inclusive practices that respond to the challenges and opportunities of ageing in autism.
