The Ageing-Autism Project is a European Erasmus+ initiative dedicated to promoting the well-being and quality of life of autistic individuals as they age.
Ageing is a stage of life that brings specific challenges for everyone — and for autistic people, those challenges are often amplified by a lack of tailored support, awareness, and professional training. This project aims to help close those gaps.
Our key goals include:
✅ Raising awareness about the unmet needs of ageing autistic individuals and their families.
✅ Developing specialised training to better equip professionals working in health, social care, and education.
✅ Promoting inclusion and diversity through the use of evidence-based practices and collaborative strategies.
Through a combination of research, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building, the Ageing-Autism project seeks to bring about meaningful and sustainable change across Europe.
We believe that active ageing should be a right for all — including autistic people.
